The height of the olive tree reaches about 6-7 meters. Its leaf dimensions range between 4-8 cm. It lives a long time but grows slowly. It takes 10-15 years to become productive and its production increases until it reaches its maximum at 36 years and remains like this until 150 years. The olive tree lives for about 500 years and sometimes extends to 1000 years.

The tree blooms in the months of April and May, with small white flowers appearing and its fruit ripening at the beginning of autumn. The color of the fruit is green or black and its shape is oval. The inner core is surrounded by the oil-laden layer.

The olive tree is native to the Mediterranean region. It is abundant in moderately hot areas. It needs drought, especially in spring and summer, and the altitude between 300-500 meters above sea level is considered ideal for the olive tree to survive and flourish.

“Aseel” oil is produced from these trees that grow in northern and southern Lebanon at the ideal height for their growth. “Authentic” olives are picked by hand between the months of October and November, and sent to the press to be extracted by cold pressing. Then it is stored in stainless steel tanks. From these tanks, “Aseel” oil is “resting” and then filled using filling machines.
